GT BIKES
GT Bicycles is an international brand that has been around since I was in primary school.
The origin of GT Bicycles: GT bicycles was founded by Gary Turner in 1979. Gary was a welding engineer and he teamed up Richard Long, a local bike shop owner and together they started building premium quality BMX bike frames. This was during the initial boom years of BMX biking and the GT brand’s quality and reputation saw it quickly grow into an international concern. I can still remember that chrome plated GT BMX frame that was hanging in the Kallangur bike shop; I spent many an afternoon drooling over that frame!
GT Bikes in 2011: Today GT offers a complete range of bikes to suit a wide variety of cyclists. More than ever, GT strengths are their BMX bike range, mountain bikes and hybrid and comfort bikes. Fit and finish, quality, performance and value for money are the areas where GT bikes stand out and this year is no exception. We are expecting the first delivery of GT bikes in late September.
The GT BMX Lineup for the coming season: Every year we pick out what we think are the best of the bikes GT have to offer and then we compare them to our other brands and from this we pick the best of the best... and these are the bikes that we display in our stores!
